See Instagram profile pictures at full size
Instagram renders profile pictures as a small circle — around 150 pixels in the app and not much larger on the web. Zooming just enlarges those same pixels, which is why tapping a DP has never actually shown you a bigger image.
The platform stores a far larger square, up to 1080×1080. This tool requests that version directly, so you see the picture at the size it was uploaded rather than the size it is displayed.
- Up to 1080×1080 instead of a 150px thumbnail
- Full uncropped square, no circular mask
- Works from a bare @username
